The new Apple MacBook has a 13 inch screen, is less than 1 inch thick when closed, and weighs a mere 4.5 pounds. The new Apple MacBook has an aluminum uni-body enclosure, LED backlight screen, NVIDIA integrated graphics, and a smooth- glass touchpad.
When you purchase your 13 inch MacBook, you'll receive a display cleaning cloth, 60W MagSafe Power Adapter, AC wall plug and power cord, Lithium-polymer batter, Install/restore DVDs, and printed and electronic documentation.
The new Apple MacBook is a nice laptop for travelers, but don't expect to sit and use it for hours upon hours, as it has a battery life of a mere 5 hours of usage, which will vary depending on what all you are doing and which programs you are using.
The keyboard to the new MacBook is sold, and the keys are spaced with a 3mm gap for those with larger fingers. The keyboard is illuminated, so in low-light settings, you can see what you are typicing.
The trackpad lacks the button to push, which gives you about 39% more room to move around on the glass pad. You use 2 fingers to scroll, pinch to zoom in and out, swipe with 3 fingers to flip through your photo gallery, and rotate to adjust an image. You can even use 4 fingers to access Expose' modes and left or right between apps. It sounds complicated, but the more that you use the trackpad, the more you'll get used to it, and the easier it will become.
Where many laptops skimp on their graphic performance, the new MacBook uses a graphics processor that economizes space. The MacBook contains a CPU and a graphics processor with all of hte core logics built into one chip, instead a regular laptop which has a CPU, 2 chips, and the graphics processor. The new Apple MacBook uses the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, which enhances the graphic performance for iLife and gaming.
With the graphics procressor, you are able to get 5x the performance boost when playing 3D games like Call of Duty and Spore, as well as using iLife and other photo programs. The images are clearer, crisper, and more detailed.
