The BlackBerry Niagara is another Verizon cell phone that will be released around May 2009. It is an EV-DO device that is just one of many Blackberry devices that the company has been working on lately.
The rumored features for the Blackberry Niagara include:
* Large screen
* QWERTY keyboard
* 480×360 LCD
* EV-DO Rev. A
* GPS
* 3.2MP camera
* 4.7 OS platform
* BES 5.0 support (HTML email, etc)
* Qualcomm MSM7600 processor
* Email
* Bluetooth capabilities.
You will have the ability to store multiple numbers for hte same contact, assign ringtones and picture IDs. The Niagara will also feature PIM Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO, Notes, Voice Dialing, Commands, Recording, and Speaker Phone.
The Niagara is going to be another Blackberry in the 9000 series. It will be about 4.5 x 2.5 x 0.6 inches in size. The Niagara will have 3G abilities, whereas the Blackberry Javelin will not (hence it's 8900 classification).
The Blackberry Niagara is going to be very similar to the Javelin, with a few differences, and should be released right around the same time, which is anywhere from late 2008 to mid 2009.
