There are a number of different wind up toys that you can add to your desk, ranging from spiders, little cars, and many other critters. They spark, clank, climb, walk, jitter, and dance. These guys definitely make for great entertainment if your really bored or stuck on a school or work assignment that you're working on.
They're fun to have in groups and just let them go and watch them in action.
These crank toys look homemade with gears and spokes to keep them in action, which gives them more life and personality. Most of them are made of stainless steel with rubber feet and attachments, and some even come in various colors.
All you have to do is wind up the toy and let them go. It'll definitely break up the day at work.
These guys make great gifts and stocking stuffers for your computer geek or gadget lover. You'll be surprised how much they'll enjoy the gift. I'm considering buying a few for friends and family.
Just make sure that you don't overwind the toys or wind them backwards because you don't want to break it. Also, be leery of giving the toys to younger children; you don't want them to try to take apart the crank toy and swallow any of the pieces.
Also be careful of setting the toys near the end of your desk or table, because they will continue to walk right off the ledge, which upon impact with the floor may cause them to break. Other than abuse or accidents because they're made of stainless steel, these toys are pretty durable.
