This is probably the neatest globe that I've ever seen. It floats. This gravity defying globe is controlled by your computer, yet has easy operation. You don't need to have physical contact or strings.
Basically, the globe uses magnetic-field technology that keeps the globe floating in the air, and believe it or not, it's actually very stable.
This floating globe has an automatic rotate mechanism that turns the globe clockwise and counter-clockwise. It will even turn the globe off, altogether.
The globe includes a very elegant blue- silver globe that is about 6 inches in diameter. You can purchase the globe at either 110v or 220v, and run it with the AC adapter that is included.
This floating globe would be a nice addition to your desk or mantle in any room of your house, and it's definitely a conversation starter.
The globe measures at 12"L x 10"W x 5.5"D, and is priced at $99.99 to include the globe and the silver base.
If you're not a big fan of the Floating Ideas floating globe, you can check out the Levitron Anti-Gravity globe. It has a slightly different appearance. This floating globe levitates about 4 inches off of the base, and features a simple flat, chrome base with a 12v power supply.
The Levitron floating globe measures 6.25"R x 6.75"L, and is slightly cheaper being riced at $89.99
