Robotic Vacuum

The iRobot Corporation has by far the coolest vacuums. I'm sure you've seen them at Target or in movies, but have you ever seen them work? Or heard anything about them?

The company produces the Roomba, Scooba, Dirt Dog and the Looj. Each of these robotic vacuums are built to perform separate duties. The Roomba is a vacuum; the scooba is essentially a mop; the dirt dog is built to suck up dirt dander and hair; and the Looj is built to clean out your gutters.

Testing the Dirt Dog

These robot vacuums have a sensor that notifies it of stairs and drop offs, and generally don't fall off these drop off points.

They will dock themselves when the battery is low.

The floor cleaner, the Scooba, preps, washes, srcubs, and dries your floor, so you no longer need to fuss with a mop or push around a large floor cleaner around the house.

The one concern you'll want to consider is how your pets will react to the robotic vacuum. Some pets may not mind, whereas others may fight it.

These robot vacuums typically run $130 to $350 depending on the series and model that you purchase.

H2O Mop: Steam Clean Your Floors

I saw this steam cleaning mop on an infomercial after all my morning talk shows and daily noon news. It seems to be near perfect. All the reviews love it. The mop is built to keep harmful chemicals off your floors and out of our fragile ecosystem by using the power of steam to clean your floors.

All you have to do is fill it with tap water, plug it in, and use it. The 1,500 watts of continuous steam loosens the dirt as the micro-fiber cover wipes it up.

The H2O mop is light weight, weighing in a a whoping 8 pounds, and has a 360 degree swivel head that lets you get around tough corners.

The H2O mop works on marble, ceramic, stone, linoleum, sealed hardwood, and parquet floors. You can even use the special attachment to steam clean carpet and rugs.

You can purchased the floor steamer on Amazon.com for $99 or from Thane.com for 3 payments of $33. And, if you purchase the H2O mop from Thane, you'll also get the portable steamer for free.

I'd definitely recommend the H2O cleaner for your household needs. Every home needs a steam cleaner, so why not purchase one that's within your budget.

The H2O mop is a whopping $99. You can even splurge to buy the one-time use clothes if you want for about $10.
