The next time you're waiting at the doctor's office or just waiting in line for breakfast, you can flip on your watch and watch your favorite movie. The Home Theater Watch tells the time and it plays movies; it's mean to give you the same or at least similar experience as watching a movie at home.
The Home Theater Watch has 2GB of built-in storage, and plays MP1, MP2, MP3, and WMA audio files, as well as view JPEG images. The screen is only 1.5 inches, but while waiting in line at the DMV, 1.5 inches is pretty big, especially with the 260K color display with 128x128 pixels.
You can connect the Home Theater Watch to your PC using the microUSB cable, which is compatible. The watch comes with software that you'll need to upload to your computer, that will help convert ASF, AVI, MPEG, WMV, DAT/VCD, and ASX files to the proper format that your watch will read. The software will even let you rotate the image so that it fits better on your watch. The conversion software is only compatible with Windows 2000 and XP; the watch does work with a Mac, but the software will not.
The Home Theater Watch also includes a voice recording feature. The microphone is built in by the miniUSB port.
When trying to figure out the Home Theater Watch, it's actually pretty simple. Using the software that is included, you will convert and resize the file to work properly on your watch, and then just upload the music, video, and/or pictures to the watch using the microUSB cable from your home PC. When you're ready to play the video, you screen lets you choose the mode (music, video, clock, voice recording). Choose the option that you want, and play. You'll use the earphones that plug into the 2.5mm jack on the side of the watch to listen to your movie or music, which is great so that you don't disturb others in the waiting room.
When charging the watch, because it will probably need to be charged a lot, depending on how often you use the video and music features, you just need to plug it in to your computer using the USB cable. It takes about 1.5 hours for a full total recharge. The battery will last for 2 days if you only use it as a functioning watch, and not the video/audio feature; otherwise it will last for 8 hours of music and 4 hours of video.
The Home Theater Watch has a flash memory that can be used as a removable PC storage tool, and it has a playback time of 7 hours when the screen is off, 4 hours with the screen on or when playing videos.
