The Kodak Z16 is one of the new mini pocket camcorders that were made available this year (2008). The Z16 takes high definition video as well as VGA- quality video. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, which is pretty good for a pocket camcorder.
The Kodak pocket camcorder can store your videos and still images on SD cards, which means you can transfer your videos and still photos to yoru computer. The Flip Mino, which is another pocket camcorder, only supports internal storage, which just isn't a good deal, if you ask me.
You'll also find that the Kodak Z16 uses AA batteries, and supports bot hrechargeable and regular batteries, which eliminates any AC adaptor cords from getting lost, knotted, or just in the way.
The one concern with the Kodak X16 is that in bright settings, you will have problems seeing the image on the 2.4" LCD display screen. It will take a little guess work to shoot video on bright days at the beach or at an outdoor ball game.
If you are interested, you can check out the Kodak Zi6 HD Pocket Video Camera for a price tag of $180, which is actually pretty good. The camera comes in both black and pink, and on Amazon.com you can purchase the mini camcorder for $150.
