Make iPhone Applications

So instead of having to buy the applications for your iPhone, how cool would it be to be able to make your own... Well, you can but it will take some work. But, if you learned how to do it, not only can you get free apps for yourself, but you can make a few bucks off of your application.
You can check out Craig Hockenberry's extended version of making iPhone applications, or you can just check out the basis here. If you're really interested in learning how to code a mobile application, I definitely suggest that you check out his recommendations.
But to give you the gist of what Craig has to say and a few recommended books, here it is:
1. Learn how to develop web pages for the mobile Safari platform.
2. Buy a Mac because you can't make applications for the iPhone on a PC.
3. Sign up for Apple's developer program.
4. Watch the introductory and getting started videos on the Apple website.
5. Play with the sample codes on the Apple website.
6. Purchase, read, and study the iPhone coding books
