Why Apple Won't Allow Adobe Flash on iPhone

The Apple iPhone has tons of really cool applications, and they are continuing to design more and more software for the iPhone, but for some reason Adobe's Flash software is prohibited on Apple's terms of service.
Adobe is even working on a new version of the Flash player for the iPhone, but Apple will probably never permit its use, and you'll probably never find it in the App Store no matter how much you want it.
Flash is by far Adob'es most popular platforms for interactive graphics, animations, and multimedia within a browser, and according to Adobe, about 98% of computers support Flash, which is why they have been working on mobile Flash. And, no matter how long you wait or how much you want Flash on your iPhone, Apple's TOS is keeping tight control over keeping Flash away from the iPhone.
Because Apple enjoys sole power and control, if they allow Flash on their mobile phone, they won't be in 100% total control. Because Flash isn't jsut a media animation player, it is a running application on its own, allowing Flash on the iPhone would open the door for other applications as all they would have to do is code the software into Flash, which would divert business away from the App Store.
This is why it is in the TOS that iPhone's developers cannot use Flash anywhere near any of hte software programs for the iPhone.
The lack of Flash on the iPhone has actually been a big problem and complaint with iPhone owners, but it seems that nothing will change Apple's mind about being in sole controll. But, come on...
Adobe is creating Flash for the iPhone, but it will probably end up a complete waste of time. Apple will be the sole determining factor as to whether or not they will allow it on the iPhone.
Personally, I don't think it will happen anytime soon because it will take away some of Apple's control.
Another problem is that by adding Flash applications, the battery life of the iPhone would probably diminish, and Apple already has plenty of complaints about the batter life as it is.
