Nokia DC-11 Extra Power

Category: Chargers

The Nokia Extra Power is a great external battery pack that is designed to be relatively small, yet hold enough power to charge a Nokia full to full battery. Basically the Nokia DC-11 has the 2mm jack and the micro-USB connector for the different batter charger cables. The Extra Power pack is a great accessory for those who use up the battery on their cell phone real quick since it offers that quick extra charge for the rest of your day.

Since cell phones are now more than just cell phones, we use them for emails, texting, chatting, games, pictures, the internet, calender, alerts, alarms, and so much more, the battery typically dies off much quicker than a cell phone that is just for just a phone. And, because we use out cell phones for nearly everything, it is beneficial to make sure that the battery won't die, especially if you're out and about and can't charge it. The Nokia Extra Power DC-11 is a portable battery pack that can charge your battery, but it's only available in limited areas for about $60, give or take.

The cables and the charging port can be found along the sides and ends of the battery pack, and on the top there is a read LED light that flashes white while DC-11 charging and then has a steady glow when your battery pack is fully charged; when you're charging your cell phone or other device that uses a microUSB plug, the light will shut off when the device's battery is fully charged. You'll even find a small button underneath the light that will turn off the battery pack when you're finished using it.

The Nokia DC-11 has a 1500 mAh batter that provides you up to one full charge for a cell phone. You can actually use it to charge two devices at the same time, but when you do that, you don't get the same full charge on both devices. The 2mm male connector is on one side and a microUSB male on the other, which are two fairly standard connectors, and the 4.5 inch cords are never in your way and they won't get tangled up because they nicely wrap around the Nokia Extra Power device securely when you're not using the battery pack.

You just want to remember that the Nokia Extra Power isn't going to be able to charge your battery if it's not charged. You have to keep the device charged up so that it's ready to be used when you need it. Just make sure that you have time to let it charge, especially if it's on absolute empty because it can take up to 2 hours and 45 minutes to fully charge.

You can charge the Nokia Extra Power DC-11 with a USB cable or you can use a Nokia CA-100 USB charger, which is available for about $35 from Nokia, or much less from other sources, such as eBay.

Oh, and while charging the DC-11, you can still charge two devices at the same time, which will save time if you don't have the near 3 hours to charge the Extra Power DC-11 and then your other devices.
