Smart Phones & Smart Phone Software
Within the past few years, the smart phone has definitely hit a peak in popularity. They started off rather expensive at several hundred dollars, and now they're an average of $100 to $200, which is great... If you're going to use the phone for more than just a cell phone.
I mean there are so many people that purchase smart phones, whether the Blackberry, Black Jack, Applie iPhone, or whatever, and never really use the phone to its full capacity. Think about it, is the smart phone really the cell phone for you?
Oh, so you don't need the internet, but you want the perks of having a really cool phone. Well, fine. Buy the $150 cell phone, deny the internet package, but don't deny the phone of really cool software.
Didn't know that you could get software for a smart phone?
Well, not many people do...
There are so many people, even employees of the cell phone company (whether Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, etc.) that don't realize that you can use a smart phone for more than being able to access the internet from your car or the doctor's office waiting room. I mean, yea, sometimes you can be stuck in traffic or in the waiting room for hours, but do you really want to spend an extra $15 to $30 a month on the internet package?
In terms of what kind of software you can purchase... Your options are not limited to one or two. You can find gaming packages, travel software, currency calculators, budgeting/financing pacakges, nursing software, and so much more.
I'd say that one of the more popular software for smart phones is GPS software. I wouldn't completely throw away your trusted road map, but having a GPS system on your cell phone would probably be a big help. If you don't travel much, then you may not find that having the GPS software is worth the money, but if you're a business person who does a great deal of traveling or maybe a parent who travels to a lot of out of town sports events or recitals. Either way, the GPS software for smart phones is pretty popular.
