VoiceOver iPod

The new Apple iPod is on the market. It's essentially the new, updated Shuffle, and for $79 you get the smallest iPod available. The VoiceOver had 4GB of storage, which is 2GB more than the older version and just $10 more expensive, so all in all the VoiceOver iPod is a great deal. But, it's so small...
The new iPod measures just at 1.8 by 0.7 by 0.3 inches, which is just slightly smaller than a AA battery. The new iPod truly is the world's smallest music player, to date.
The new iPod doesn't have the circular navigation pad, but you do get an in-line remote earphone cord, which includes up/down volume buttons and a center control that lets you pause and skip tracks, which is awesome, except you can't use regular earphones with the new iPod.
And, since the VoiceOver does not have the LCD screen that lets you know what song and artist you are listening to, you don't know what you're hearing.... Well, actually that's not quite true, as you can press and hold the center key of the in-line remote and hear the VoiceOver speak. By holding the center key, the VoiceOver will tell you what playlist you're listening to, as well as a list of the available playlists. You can click again to hear a particular playlist
The voice is robotic, and for some reason Apple set the robotic voice as a male voice when synced to a Mac, but a female voice for a PC. Unfortunately, you cannot choose whether you want a male or female robotic voice.
