This is a pretty cool innovation that allows you to keep your cell phone, PDA, GPS, iPod, digital camera, and various other gadgets charged with 4 watts of power. The backpack stores solar energy from the sun, and when the sun is down, the backpack has a built-in Lithium ion battery pack, which will take over.
The Voltaic Solar Backpack is about $175 and up, but it is perfect for those of you who enjoy the outdoors.
The solar backback has 3 lightweight, waterproof, and durable solar panels that generate about 4 watts of power. The backpack, is also equipped with a 4,400 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that will contine to charge your gadgets with the sun is down.
There are 11 standard adaptors for different types of plugs thatou may need. You'll find that it includes common cell phone plugs, universal plugs, as well as car charger sockets and a USB adaptor.
The solar backpack is made of high density padding for the sholder straps and the back. The backpack is made of a nylon mesh material to allow for better air flow. The material is UV resistant.
The inside of the backpack is fully padded to fit a 17" laptop. There is an adjustable phone/MP3 player pocket on the shoulder of the back.
